Great experience, server Alyssa, and meals. I ordered the smallest prime rib- still pretty big med rare and cooked to perfection! The dish chowder is great; served piping hot. Cinnamon and dinner rolls were fresh, warm and delish- the dinner salad was great and both chowder and salad , rolls and a hush puppy. Hubs had salmon and crab - also delicious- with beers and tip---bill around $100 - we'll return!

Since it's only open at 4 you better get there early . Parking is a major issue and things have gone downhill. The bar was super busy and it was hard to get a drink due to so many people eating there . The bartenders were super friendly and attentive. The food was just average a lot of the seafood items were over cooked the prime rib was the best choice . Due to the crowd it was kind of loud . The service was fine and they were super nice .

Had a NY Strip tonight. Cooked perfectly, medium. The baked potato was really good also. Our waitress never introduced herself, but Jimmy stopped by to say hi and asked if we remembered his name LOL Hubby had the fried combo platter again and was very happy. The wait was a bit longer than anticipated, but fully worth it. The best part? The service, the decor, the friendly staff AND enough leftovers for reruns tomorrow night! Until October, bye bikers!

Shay was a great server and was on top of us for great service without being intrusive. With the meal was soup, better than I expected and the salad was decent! The end cut early bird special was huge! And the crab cake dinner was excellent. It is bike week so we got there early, and it was jammed by 5:00. It's a comfortable ambiance, quieter than you would imagine. Prices are very reasonable compared to many places today!

An old school vibe with decent sized portions is what we found at Blackbeard's Inn. The Blackened Mahi-mahi dinner and the Sirloin Steak off the EaryBird menu were both pretty good choices and our server Joanne took good care of us.

Food and service was good. Huge menu with lots of choices. It was recommended to me to order the fisherman's platter blackened & broiled which I did and the quality was fantastic. The oysters were super fresh & tasty. Full bar.

We have been coming to NSB for years on vacation. Blackbeard's is one of the places we will visit more than once for dinner during our weeklong stay. It's a family friendly restaurant with excellent food and service. Patrick was our server this evening and he was so nice and we joked with him a lot! Two of us had the prime rib, which is always excellent and the best I've had anywhere. Another in our party had fried shrimp, which was delicious and another had the fried platter. Complimentary soup and salads were delicious. Their fish chowder is yummy with pieces of white fish and veggies in a light tasty broth. Rolls and cinnamon rolls round out the meal. They also have the best hush puppies going! Pay them a visit, come hungry - you won't be disappointed!

I've been to Blackbeard's many times over the years and have always had a great meal with stellar service. We always try to arrive before happy hour is over (until 7:00pm daily) and while they are offering the Early Bird Menu (until 6:00pm daily). Note that Blackbeard's is a local hot spot, so tables fill up quick. Many times, the lot is full, and there is a wait to be seated right when they open (4:00pm daily) especially on the weekends. Jimmy is our favorite server; he has been here forever, and always takes good care of us. We usually order the fried or broiled seafood combination ($21.99), which comes with fish, shrimp/scallop skewer, a petite crab cake, hush puppy, choice of potato/fries/rice/broccoli, soup & salad, hot rolls, and fresh baked cinnamon roll with whipped butter. On this visit, I upgraded my meal from broiled to blackened ($2 upgrade). The majority of our meal was excellent; unfortunately, the hush puppy was lukewarm and a bit dried out. My two Amber Bock's were icy cold ($6 each) and the soup, salad, and bread were all fresh and delicious. Walking into Blackbeard's is like a blast from the past, it has a rich history and nostalgia that cannot be matched; however, I would really like to see the owners upgrade some of the furniture. We had to move twice to find a more comfortable seating area in the dining room. The first table had so many customers/staff passing behind us, it was distracting. We switched to a booth, but the back was so straight (rigid) and the base of the bench was so short, that we felt like we were sitting at a kiddy table. Finally, we were able to move to a different booth with slightly better back and booty support. If you are in the New Smyrna Beach area, I highly recommend dining at Blackbeard's. I wish I could say it's the perfect place to eat, but it's got some imperfections. Regardless; in my experience, the service has always been on-point and the food consistently great.
